16th Lesson! Corel DRAW – Mid Point

Dear Members,

Mid point affects the combination of two colors. AT 50, the two color are blended equally.

  1. Open Corel DRAW.
  2. Draw rectangle. Keep it selected.
  3. Click "Fountain Fill Dialog" from Fill Tool.
  4. AT Linear fill type select Red color for "From" and Yellow for "TO" under color blend.
  5. Make a note that midpoint value is 50 by default.
  6. If you slide the midpoint slider towards left extreme i.e. to 1, Yellow color will be dominant in the result.
  7. If you slide the midpoint slider towards right extreme i.e. to 99, Red color will be dominant in the result.
  8. At 50, it's a smooth gradation of the two colors.
  9. Try rest of the fill types with different midpoint values.
  10. Please do not change any other settings.
  11. The following image showing you the effect of mid point as described above.
