89th Lesson! Corel DRAW – Fit Text to Path – Part 1

Dear Members,

You must have seen the text fit around the circle in the logo. Corel Draw provides a very simple way of doing this with its" Fit Text to Path" command.

  1. Open Corel DRAW.
  2. Type the text. Use 2-3 word like "Inside Graphics Network" etc.
  3. Drag the text to enlarge the size using Pick Tool.
  4. Draw the circle using Ellipse tool. Press CTRL to make it perfect circle while you drag the cursor. This circle will act as a path for the text.
  5. Select the text using pick tool. This is important step. Always remember to select the text and NOT the path.
  6. Go to Text menu and select "Fit Text to Path".
  7. Bring the cursor near to the circle outline.
  8. Click on the circle.
  9. Please remember to click on the edge of the circle.
  10. You will find that the text is fit on the circular path of the circle.
