Learn Corel DRAW, the magic of Vector Graphics!

98th Lesson! Corel DRAW – Fit Text to Path – Part 9

Dear Members,

The second procedure is the clean one where you can actually delete the circle and keep the text intact.

  1. Open Corel DRAW.
  2. Carry out the effect as described in the previous lesson 89.
  3. Keep the effect selected.
  4. Go to Arrange > Break Text Apart
  5. Deselect the effect by clicking somewhere else.
  6. Select the circle using pick tool.
  7. You will notice that circle can be selected separately now.
  8. Delete the circle using Delete Key.
  9. You will get the curved text.

Hi All,

I am currently using Corel12 and find that the fit text to curves gives a very ordinary result. ie letters will move on top of each other and when the shape is removed the resulting angles on the letters is less than pleasing.

Am I using this tool incorrectly? Is there an option to force the font to shape the character with the curve, rather than just move the letters in an arc?
