106th Lesson! Corel DRAW – Add Perspective – Part 7

Dear Members,

Vanishing point is the point by which you can adjust the perspective effect. Let us see how to obtain the vanishing point.

  1. Open Corel DRAW.
  2. Type the text, say "Inside". Stretch it to make it bigger.
  3. Effects > Add perspective
  4. Press top point over the letter "I" towards downside (top left point of the perspective).
  5. Push bottom point at the bottom of letter "I" upwards (bottom left point of the perspective).
  6. This will make the effect, which is tapering towards "I" and widened towards "e".
  7. If you have sufficiently compressed the letter "I", you will find the point is displayed in the window, on the page similar to the letter "X" which is called vanishing point.
  8. If it is not appeared yet in your window, on the page, compress the letter "I" more using top and bottom points near to the letter "I"
  9. Observe the position of the vanishing point carefully.
  10. This vanishing point is the point where the top and the bottom horizontal dotted lines of the perspective effect intersect each other if you imagine them to extend beyond the border of the effect.
  11. Similarly, if you compress the letter "e" and keep the letter "I" untouched, you will get the vanishing point at the side
of "e" that is to the right side.
