107th Lesson! Corel DRAW – Add Perspective – Part 8

Dear Members,

Vanishing point can be obtain on the top or at the bottom of the perspective effect if it is require to adjust in that way.

  1. Open Corel DRAW.
  2. Type the text, say "Inside". Stretch it to make it bigger.
  3. Effects > Add perspective
  4. Press top point over the letter "I" towards right side (top left point of the perspective).
  5. Press top point over the letter "e" towards left side (top right point of the perspective).
  6. This will make the effect, which is tapering towards the top and widened towards the bottom.
  7. If you have sufficiently compressed the top portion of the word "Inside", you will find the point is displayed in the window, on the page similar to the letter "X" which is called vanishing point, which is situated on the top of the word.
  8. If it is not appeared yet in your window, on the page, compress the letter "I and e" more using the top perspective points
  9. Observe the position of the vanishing point carefully.
  10. This vanishing point is the point where the left and the right vertical dotted lines of the perspective effect intersect each other if you imagine them to extend beyond the border of the effect.
  11. Similarly, if you compress the letter "I and e" pressing the bottom perspective points towards each other, you will get the vanishing point at the bottom of the word.
