A product manager view on the Graphics world, CorelDRAW and much more.

Introduction of "Wilcom DecoStudio e1, a CorelDRAW product" at ISS Long Beach, CA

As most of you might have seen already, Corel announced yesterday a new strategic partnership with the leader in Embroidery software, Wilcom, and a new product that combines technologies from Corel and Wilcom into one package: Wilcom DecoStudio e1, a CorelDRAW product. This new package combines the best of both worlds through a seamless integration to deliver a great solution for multi-decoration, from embroidery and screen printing to digital printing and much more.

Not only do you get all the great things included with CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X3, but you also gain access to the powerful technologies developed by Wilcom such as the great quality of their embroidery results and efficient sewing time. This package also includes 30 professional embroidery fonts that leverage one of the trademarks of Wilcom, their lettering capabilities. Through built-in intelligence, DecoStudio e1 will automatically set the best settings for a quality result based on your fabric and garment type and an automatic conversion between vector graphics to stitches, eliminating the need to digitize. In addition, the monogram and appliqué tools enable you to combine the various techniques available in the garment industry to create really cool things.

Initial feedback at the ISS show yesterday was really amazing, with everyone listening at the DecoStudio presentations with a lot of interest...

... and even better, people where also looking at the pre-recorded video when there was no live presentation!

My only problem going forward is that I now need to convince my better half that getting an embroidery machine at home is a fantastic idea... might be difficult one Cool

And as a side note, Kenpoist and Hugh, it was great finally putting a real face and voice next to your online profile at ISS. Thank you very much for your time.
