Cool thing. I've already posted it in other sites.

I was looking forward to submitting three images but, thanks to politics, I'm not allowed because I live in Quebec.....dang !

Will there be a shortcut specific to the entries for general viewing?

Haven't seen the announcement in any of the Forums.

Great contest, just wish I could contribute.

Ed, sorry that you cannot participate. As you might know, there are some legal requirements that make it difficult for us to include certain countries, states or provinces in the contest, including Quebec. We are also looking at if and how the entries will be displayed for general viewing, but the thinking is to have galleries on CorelDRAW.com created as we start getting them, so that everyone will have a chance to provide feedback and rate the submission (the Jury might not agree).

No problem Chief, the political requirements / regulations for contests are beyond our control. Looking forward to seeing the entries and good luck to all !

Is Ukraine also allowed to participate in this contest?

Excellent news! I shall participate necessarily! On competition the original files are accepted? For example vector?

Gerard Metrailler wrote re: CorelDRAW 20th Anniversary Celebrations begin
on Wed, Feb 4 2009 4:58

Pricing depends on where you live... if you go to your local Corel site, you will see the pricing. The Anniversary Edition is a much better value than purchasing the products separately.

This is a world-wide contest, and except where excluded by your local law, you can participate from everywhere.

To participate, you need to submit either an original CDR or a CPT file. All the details are in the terms and conditions that have been translated in all the languages Corel has a web site in (links in my post above).

Anyway... Cool contest! Great prizes! I'm so excited!... :D

Gerard Metrailler wrote re: CorelDRAW 20th Anniversary Celebrations begin

Aquije, there are specific legal requirements for contests in various countries, states or provinces around the world... sadly, this is one of these (joy of a world-wide contest). I am certain that any normal person who can use CorelDRAW / Corel PHOTO-PAINT will have absolutely no problem answering that question ;-)

Edward Thurston wrote re: CorelDRAW 20th Anniversary Celebrations begin

Re: machine 55's question.

Who can and cannot enter depends on the government rules and regulations where you live.

Although I'm Canadian and the contest is originating in Canada, the province I live in (Quebec) has rules that make it impossible for me to enter.

As Gérard said earlier in the blog " there are specific legal requirements for contests in various countries, states or provinces around the world... sadly, this is one of these (joy of a world-wide contest).

Gerard Metrailler wrote re: CorelDRAW 20th Anniversary Celebrations begin

My understanding that you should be able to participate, but it is up to you to check the specific legal requirements in your country. Only someone familiar with the laws in your country will be able to confirm if you are eligible.

Gerard Metrailler wrote re: CorelDRAW 20th Anniversary Celebrations begin

All the restrictions are in the terms and conditions... talk about politics, Corel employees are not allowed to participate neither (wherever they are).

Hi Gerard. Is there a means or are you people allowing people from Liberia (Africa) to partake in this contest?

I also wanto to be a part of this great contest.   And how do i get my Arts to you people if I'm allow.

Gerard Metrailler wrote re: CorelDRAW 20th Anniversary Celebrations begin

I am not familiar with the laws in Liberia and won't be able to answer your question. If International contests are allowed in your country / state, you should be allowed to take part in the CorelDRAW Design Contest. Just follow the links in my blog post (I would recommend you choose English UK).

See this contest as a great opportunity to learn CorelDRAW at the same time... you need to submit your entry in either CorelDRAW or Corel PHOTO-PAINT format (both included in CorelDRAW Graphics Suite).

Gerard Metrailler wrote re: CorelDRAW 20th Anniversary Celebrations begin

We've slightly changed our plan... we are trying to find out a way to have the community to vote as well for the winners in each category, which means we won't be able to show the submissions before the contest is over.
