CorelDRAW International Design Contest - you can vote now!

Earlier this morning, we went live on CorelDRAW.com with the galleries that showcase all the finalists for the 2009 CorelDRAW International Design Contest. Out of a total of over 1500 submissions, we are down to over 600 entries that will make it to the finalist stages, removing those who didn't follow the terms and conditions.

As mentioned previously, now it's time for all of you in the CorelDRAW.com community to get involved, even if you didn't submit artwork. Part of the voting process, we wanted to make sure that the community has a chance to vote on the submissions. Therefore, we will take the top 10 most popular entries (based on the ranking on the site) on Monday Morning, July 6 2009, 9 AM Eastern Time Zone. 

Let the best design win!

The strokes are messed up in my work on the Contest Gallery; they are not in their position as in the file I uploaded.

A few comments to add to this post.

First, if your artwork submission is not listed, that means it didn't make it to this stage. This could be for different reasons. The main one is that your submission was not following the terms and conditions for the contest.

In addition, as stated in the terms and conditions of the design contest, all the submissions where opened with a standard CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4 SP2 installation on a clean computer, e.g. if you used custom fonts and didn't convert them to curves, your submission would have had font substitution applied. Also, all the images uploaded on this site where generated using the export to jpeg feature from CorelDRAW or Corel PHOTO-PAINT X4.

If you are confident that you have followed the terms and conditions, that everything looks great with a clean installation of CorelDRAW X4 on your side (without custom fonts, brushes, ...), and that your artwork is either not showing or it has problems, please contact the Design Contest team by replying to the confirmation email you got.

We are in the process of consolidating all the votes from the different members of the jury. Once we have (internally) the winners for each category, we will go through an extra round of votes for the grand-prize winner. Overall, we are aiming to have the winners announced mid to end of July (at the latest).

If you go to the gallery, select "Most Popular" and show the entries as a list, you will get them.

HI, I have a question: I have to say I had no idea there would be a voting process in the coreldraw.com site. Neither did I know that my design, which was submitted in the Fine Art Category (as the confirmation email states) was not even on the gallery to be voted for. What happened? Please answer me. Not at this stage. We also will not release the original files from the artists.
