Another thought, is to (occasionally) drop project requests on the forum here as a contest, include the style guide, and specs for the job. Then let us compete and the winner gets paid, (might want to put a budget on the contest so we know what we are in for).

Hi.

Perhaps just partnering up with a particular VM software. Include it with the CorelDraw (for Mac) software and apply tech support to it. This would be easier.

Even better a VM that runs in a window as an OS with CorelDraw already installed to it. Make the VM basically invisible?

I guess Microsoft would have to be involved to but since it's just for the one program to run and nothing else can run in the "invisible" VM it might be cheap.

Ideas?

Please NEVER follow Adobe suscription model... The "perpetual license" is the the best option for those who invert in software. If I buy something , I want to use it as much as I want , I don´t want to be forced to buy new hardware to keep my software updated. :(

As a Corel user I want to have options , I want to choose the best option for my work for my company.

I´ve just remember an old version of CorelDRAW 8, I still have at my design studio in its box , I loved the slogan of that version "CORELDRAW 8 - The CHOICE of professionals" - www.corelclub.org/.../video_CorelDRAWX8.jpg . Now that slogan is kind of prophetic, because with CorelDRAW we still have a CHOICE ;)

Go Corel ! Go! Keep giving us the freedom to choose!

Can't thank you Gerard who made this community possible. I still remember how great I felt this forum was when you / Corel created it. Coming from the nntp forms to this one was great fun. Made it visually attractive and fun to hang around. It is truly a great forum. And just the fact that for 6 years its still a friendly and helpful forum. People from all around the world. And it is great that you guys from Corel is active as well. Thank you! :D

Until I read the change.org page about Adobe's chilling decision, I didn't realize Corel was contemplating walking the same path. This is sobering news. I've been a CorelDraw user for 20 years. Now I'm less confident in investing time learning other Corel applications.

Adobe has scuttled their independent user market in favor of the Corporation. They will survive. Change is in the wind. Open source alternatives are mature. Corel might want to think twice before walking the Adobe path. Your post, Gerard, looks a bit like "We promise we won't do it. Today."

Hallo, leider hat es Corel auch mit diesem Hotfix immer noch nicht geschafft, dass Links die nur auf ein Wort im Text gesetzt werden auch in der PDF übernommen werden. Siehe
