connecting users of the CorelDRAW family of products
Hello everyone, and welcome to my blog!

For those of you that don't know me, please allow me to introduce myself. I'm the Product Manager for CorelDRAW Graphics Suite, here at Corel headquarters in Ottawa, and I have the good fortune of getting to work with the many talented people here at Corel (including those who are starting to participate in this site). I have been a part of the Corel team since last summer, and am very excited at what I have seen so far as I delve into the industries and events, and meet people who use CorelDRAW Graphics Suite in their day-to-day lives. Since last summer, I have met some of you in person, some by phone, some by e-mail, and there are many of you I haven't met at all. I look forward to getting to know you all, and to learning about how and why you use CorelDRAW (okay, I'll sometimes refer to just CorelDRAW instead of the full name of the suite - it's easier to type!). I will try to share my insights, my experiences, reports on my travels, and other interesting information that I come across related to CorelDRAW and the graphics industry. I'll also talk about CorelDRAW users I meet along the way, the work they do, and try to share as many other cool things as I can think of, or that I come across!

I am so excited to see the participation in the coreldraw.com community site to this point. It speaks to the level of passion and enthusiasm that you, our extended family, have for the product. Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have any thoughts, questions, or insights that you'd like to share. I'd love to hear from you.

Cheers!

John

As product manager I assume you know Corel like the back of your hand. I just bought X3 and for 2 weeks I have been trying to scan a straight line image as a bitmap and covert to a vector hoping for a clean outline. The vector image always comes out with double lines. Since I am using the graphic on a tooling machine I need single lines.  I have expermented with pen, pencil and marker. All with the same results. The Forums do not have an answer. Do you? Thank you for your time.
