I know this is basic, I'm VERY new to Coral- But.... I cannot find out how to color an object. I draw digital Images and like to convert them to vector, and then I need to color them like they are hand colored, but professional. I know this doesn't make very much sense, but I hope that it is understandable

One step further.. I've figured out a way today to lay out barcodes as batch production in Draw.

For a whole lot less than the 399.00 someone charges for a Coreldraw utility to do this. ;-)

Otherwise, I think Corel themselves has a solution for mass production of variable barcodes. I emailed a couple years back, and never got a reply.

The price is not shown either... leading me to think that it's also high. You know the drill: "for more info about pricing, you need to call a salesman..." ;-P

I think it's rather nuts to not be able to do this easily.

I found a little app that can convert CSVs to barcode bitmaps. then you can bring those into Draw using monstermerge, which scales as required into an area.

Only problem is I have no way to test the output. LOL... no barcode scanner lying around my office... ;-)

i have seen a lost of graphics right here in this site, i sometimes wounder how colours, vector images, light effect, and so on. I Just don't know how they are applied. One guy's job i so much love is that of jimmy, his lastet discovery. pls need help

Hi John,

I have a legal copy of designer 10 that I can't use because it required an activation code when I installed it on my new computer. I can't get an activation code because Corel no longer supports Designer 10. Any ideas on how I can get this program activated?

nice to see these mentioned. the Advanced Artist tutorials rely on image warping A LOT and Photoshop is utilized as the primary software for precision warping. I also second such a request. professional image retouching needs it. currently my workflow requires Paint Shop Pro X2 for image warping since the warping brush there allows me to do detailed manipulations on a selected layer in the main document window without having to open it into a separate plugin like Photoshop does. it's VERY cool. an implementation of this sort would be fantastic in Photo-Paint.

I also second the Color Range selection. this is particularly good because it generates superior feathering/blending of color transitions. just yesterday i could have used it.

Thirdly- Color Management has to be more streamlined!! Generic Profiles do not cut it and monitor specific profiles should be applied automatically in the color managed workflow. Corel's CM system is very weak when custom profiles are used, in fact it is buggy as heck when custom ICC soft-proofing is exercised.

Hey John,

First question. Can please please please pretty please have two things in X5?

1. A select color range like that in PhotoShop in PhotoPaint my life would be perfect if you gave me that.

2. A liguifyfilter for bitmaps in draw like the one in PhotoShop...

OK 3 and I know this is HUGE can please have all of PhotoPaints functions in draw so I dont have to open PhotoPaint
