Hi,
I use CorelDraw X4 to design CD covers that need Devanagari characters. However I found that using fonts like Mangal (which is used for devanagari in MSOffice) is not supported - the double-consonants are displayed incorrectly. Can somebody tell me how to type in Devanagari in CDR X4?
I also hope that somebody from Corel is listening and they rectify this problem soon.
Thanks
I have to look that up. ;) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Mahitgar/Mangal_Font
The person who will have the best handle on it is Anand. I doubt you will be waiting more than 12 hours before he spots your request.

Hi Icubyx
There are yet some problems with Unicode fonts that have not been corrected. Not only Devnagari but as per my knowledge, some more double byte fonts even are not handled and displayed correctly in X4. The ligatures (or double-consonants as you call it) are not displayed properly. This has already been conveyed to Corel Team and I hope, this is on a priority. Let us see when can we get it corrected. X4 hotpatch or X5. Or some one may come out with a macro (just like the Illy users have it) to correctly display the fonts.

Thank you Yani for helping me to find the post.

Hi Yani, Anand,
Thanks for your replies. I too hope some solution is available soon. Till then I'm limping along with Shivaji fonts.
