In Illustrator I can simply select objects of the same color and seperate them out...is there an easy way to do that in Corel Draw4?
You can do it on the Edit menu / find and replace ... find objects (or find objects that match with the selected object), select the color, and choose "select all objects"

Thanks I tried that with an object but I think every color was differnt. Just went back and tried it with a simler object and it worked perfectly. Thanks again.
There is also a great free macro for making this easier: click here
Like everyone already told you, there are many ways to change colors.
Which way you choose largely depends on what 'kind' of colors you have, how many different colors you have and ultimately what you want to change the colors to.
I use all the following: Find & Replace, Color Styles Docker, Oberon's Color Replacer or Steve Yate's Quick change macro.
Each serve their purpose and work great depending on your needs. As I said, mostly depends where you are and where you want to go.
