Aleem Ashraf Crying [:'(] posted on Sat, Apr 11 2009 10:12

Hey guys Im using the default CMYK plate in my workspace, but I wander why I m having the Uniform colors palette in my Fountain fill window. Even if I set the default CMYK color palette as default, it is only applied till Corel is restarted, I've also used "save settings as default" but it doesn't work.

Peace I-)

seem that you have saved hte Uniform palette as the default palette, called coreldrw.cpl and stored at 2 places:

C:\program files\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4\Languages\ES\Custom Data

and

C:\Documents and Settings\User\Programs Data\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4\User Custom Data\Palettes

try to restart your original files

You will not lose customizations when Repair.

You choose; delete a file or delete nothing (Repair).

(Note: You can move the Uniform Palette file instead of remove)

Aleem Ashraf:
I use the customized workspace so I can't reset to the factory settings either, I know that will solve my problem but not at the cost of my hundred of short keys that I've defined.

Just in case the problem is not in your workspace try this, open Corel choose the default workspace then close Corel, re-open with the F8 key, it will not wipe out your customized workspace, it just over-writes the default. Re-choose your custom workspace and see if the problem is resolved.  I have found this has worked for me on a few occasions. If however, the problem is in your workspace then you are 'toast'.

Do a search for uniform.cpl.

Mine was here

C:\Program Files\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 13\EN\PHOTO-PAINT\Tables

Anything new Aleem?

Hi Ahmed I managed to fix it by deleting the folder named "Corel" in %appdata% folder. But it has just started to happen again, but I m not gonna do that again any sooner coz I've learned to live with this headache.

Hi Ariel, thanks, Don't know how it happened but, deleting file from the above location did the trick.
