Hello,

I am trying to install some Type1 Univers fonts that are from around 1994
(at least that's the copyright date) onto a xp PC. Each font consists of
a .pfb,.pfm,.wfn file.

when i installs these file i got error ".pfb file is invalid or damaged."

Thank,

Me thinks that these fonts are from the MAC world. You may need to search and find a utility that will convert fonts from the (Apple world) Type 1 to OpenType or True Type fonts.

Actually i know that the problem is due to incorrect .pfm or .pfb file.

but i am unable to solve it. these fonts were exported from corel draw 2.0

that why there is .wfn file in the same directory.

Is the any way to recognise these exported font (i.e. from corel 2.0).

I guess that fonts are correct but it is made in older version of Corel Draw

that why it is not installing.

Help Me!!

Thanks

Google for FontForge, an open source postscript font generator. It has the ability to generate fonts, in many formats, as well as converting from one format to another. If you can open your (old) fonts in this program, you can probably save them as TruType or OpenType fonts that will run under your current version of Windows.

Yeah those are the extensions used for fonts in earlier versions of CD on a Windows OS.

Maybe post one of the cdr version 2 files or email it to me directly at...

I can try opening it in Version 3 and then moving the file up versions to whatever you need.

The conversion thing mentioned might work so try that first.
