Aleem's link should work for you. Only issue is the tut is making rgb default. just choose cmyk palette for your needs

hi, Mohsin

You have to do what Aleem suggestes then click blank or any color swatch that you want to set for your default fill in 'Default CMYK Palette and do 'Tools-Save Settings As Default'. or for Fauntain Fill do same process with Fountain fill Dial logue box.
It is importent to do this on a clean(new) page with no object.
