don tbuycorel:I have used coreldraw 3x and 4x since 3x was released. My issue is with painter 11 which is a corel product and crashed with a frequency so great that I could not complete a drawing.
sorry to hear you have problems with one program, btw this not justify a campaign against Corel in the coreldraw.com site, since this is a CorelDRAW forum, not about Painter.
don tbuycorel:You don't use painter 11. Perhaps now you do?
No, I never used Painter 11
don tbuycorel: I spoke to a corel beta tester (hello) and after discribing the issue , She told me she didn't use corel painter11. Great response. She also told me that corel was the leading software world wide while Corel inc lists their software as a cheaper ,easier to use alternative.

I'm also a beta.tester of CorelDRAW, but I don't use Painter, in the same way that most Painter users don't use CorelDRAW. But I don't agree whit this point of view. Corel is the leading software world wide in most marketplace, because provide good software, not because is the "a cheaper, easier to use" and is not and "alternative". There's other software cheaper than Corel, and there's a free software. I don't believe that somebody spend money in a bad program, and along thr years. If it's for the easy to use, Illustrator is not impossible to learn, and other programs such as inkscape are easy too, and free.
don tbuycorel:For those that speak Spanish the name would translate into sir tbuycorel, -a play on the enigma of languages. Read what you like.
No, this is not a translation error, and I never imagine you name as "Don T buy Corel" (mister tbuycorel) for me "don tbuycorel" is "don'tbuycorel". I read what I see, not what I like.
don tbuycorel:I've been using coreldraw since 3x was released . I have no problem with corelcraw3xor 4x on my apple/windows systems.
Since you're a experienced user is good to hear that you don't have problem with CorelDRAW. Btw, you say that Corel is "not very professional". There is a major contradiction on your words.
don tbuycorel: It's bull *** having to go to #rd party software to put objects on a path. Why was that feature not included pn x4. Not very professional is it corel.

Many comments in one post... first, let me say that I am sorry you are encountering problems with Painter 11. The only case I am aware of instability on Windows is if you have corrupted preferences. If you are interested, please contact me per email so that I can get the right person to follow-up and see how we can help resolving your stability problem.
Regarding CorelDRAW third-party add-ons, I am actually very impressed by all the great macros and plug-ins that exist for CorelDRAW and that enhance the functionality that comes with the product. We cannot include everything for every scenario out of the box, and having add-ons to answer specific needs has always been the reason why we include automation tools such as VBA. But keep in mind that in the vast majority of the cases, what can be done through a macro can also be done by hand, but it would require a lot more steps.
