i've noticed that the Power Trace function produces results in which all vector shapes created have either a white or dark 1 pixel stroke/margin surrounding the shape which makes all traced images look like a jigsaw puzzle. this occurs after the image is generated but is not present in the output preview of the Power Trace dialogues. is there a setting i am missing? i'm just using defaults. in this case it happens with all trace settings.

What you are seeing is likely only a visually anomaly in Enhanced viewing mode(s).
Try Normal.. if goes away, theory is proven. :-)
Solutions? 2 separate ones;
1. uncheck box in powertrace:
2. try this free macro

thanks for the help Jeff :)
you're correct - it's the antialiasing of the enhanced viewing modes that's giving all the vector objects a fuzzy transparency. this is why the 'lines' will appear white when the trace image is set against the white desktop background, or dark when placed against a darker background. i'll give your macro a try also... gotta get used to this marco stuff, the Mac world doesn't have them (i don't think?!)
Hi Ghi,
just as a by-the-way you can get rid of the 'lines' by duplicating the trace in place by hitting the '+' key on the number pad. It's a quick and dirty way of doing it and nowhere near as elegant as Jeff's macro, but it does work. If there are still a few faint lines just hit '+' key again.
Cheers,
Paul

If you are running Windows via parallels etc, I think macros should also work. AFAIK...
I had that problem last night. Today, after a shutdown/startup, I don't see any white lines. Probably a hot restart would work too, but I didn't try that. Or maybe closing CorelDraw then starting it again?
