I upgraded to CorelDRAW 10 while I was working on my own and it automatically upgraded all my earlier files from 7 to 10. I now have to share my files with someone who only has CorelDRAW 7. I have managed to save some of my files in 7,using "open as", but the others, won't open in 7, showing just a blank Drawing Page.  Am I missing something? Are any files that I created in 10 never going to convert? Thank you.

I don't know if the feature is in Version 10... I've used CorelDRAW from Version 12.

But under the Save As option in your File Menu you can specify what version you want to save the file as. In your case Version 7.

File > Save As (CTRL+SHIFT+S)

Thanks. I had done that to all the files and only about half of them converted. 7 couldn't open some of the supposedly converted files. I think I have redo them all!

try to save as CMX and/or save as CorelDRAW 6.0 instead 7.0

CorelDRAW 7.0 must open the XMX file format

Thank you. that one worked with a few adjustments. Much better than redoing all of the adverts that I have on my list. Phew!
