Yes, powerclip is the best option. Also you can use the Interactive Fill tool (by pressing the G key)

this may be way off yet lets say you havent added your blend to the rectangle yet. Create your ellipse, fill the same color as the rectangle and select both objects. using the interactive fill tool add your cradient fill. It will apply to both like what you are wanting in your example

I think you've got your answer already. I want just to chime in, suggesting that for every new thread you start, you try to state the actual problem in the subject. Stuff like "help" or "help again please" don't give a clue as to what the actual problem is. If you state the issue right from the start, there will be a higher probability of people can understand it, enter the thread and contribute with an answer.
