Jeff Harrison:

As for vector effects, I don't think Corel sells these since they only worked in Illustrator.

Did Adobe bought the KAI's vector tools.? is it posible?

CorelTurk:

Jeff. I remember similar feature in KPT Vector Effects for AI. Corel sells KPT Effects Software on Corel's web site. So who the owner of KPT. Corel? In this case why Corel doesn't use of KPT features?

Corel is the owner of KPT, since Corel bought Metacreations (you know, Painter, Bryce...) but abut why Corel doesn't use of KPT features I have not answer.I can suppose that is hard to develop this software, but Corel has very good programmers. Perhaps it's a market problem, the sales of the effects don't justify the money for the develop of new versions.

Ariel, you may be right. There is too many tools on for vectorel distorting in AI. And those tools are very similar Kai's Vector Tools. (Wrap, Twril etc.). Before KPT Vector Tools there is no those tools in AI. I can think in this manner because maybe Adobe use the part of the source codes of KAI's vector tools.

as far I know, no, Adobe never bought KPT

http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/whathappenedto/p/kpt.htm

KPT vector effects is no longer available. You can only find the KPT collection

Adobe only aquire part of the MetaCreations 3D software, called Canoma, wich was merged to other products such as Photoshop. Ray Dream Studio and Infini-D were acquired by DAZ 3D, Poser was sold to Curious Lab (now was acquired for Smith MicroSotware), Fractal Design's Expression is part to the Microsoft Expression, Bryce was sold to DAZ, and Painter and KPT are still part of Corel

Thats what I want for Mesh fill Jeff, though maybe with a little 'sag' built in. i.e. with a softer edged brush nodes grabbed near the edge of the brush don't move as far as those grabbed near the middle. As in the Liquify filter in PS.
