Hi,

I have CorelDraw X3 Graphic Suite on my old laptop (unfortunately the screen has given up the ghost).  I cannot find my discs anywhere, so decided to download a 15-day trial copy to my new laptop.  I am the administrator of this laptop and have downloaded the suite.  All the other components of the suite work except for CorelDraw which refuses to move beyond the opening graphic and the words "Launching Application..." .  Can anyone shed any light on what I should do as just pressing the escape key cancels the application and nothing opens at all.  I would like once open to register as a full application with my original Serial Number key and hope that if I eventually get the program open I will be able to do this too!

Thanks for any assistance.  Tongue Tied

try removing all instances of Corel from your system then redownload and install the trial. See if that helps

Try the Magic Key F8 on when the program starts. It will reset your workspace. Its worth a try!

Thanks, but nothing happened with the "Magic Key"!  When in doubt try ctrl+alt+del to see whether the task manager shows the program is responding and yes it states its running.  I left for 15 minutes and still have the loading application start up screen.  Have also tried "fluid's" note of uninstalling everything to do with CorelDraw and reinstalling, but that doesn't work either.  Just a thought as the program is considerably older, does it actually work with Vista.  Any help appreciated.

There's no more a trial version of X3, so if you download a trial version it must be X4. You can't use the X3 serial number with X4

if you are trying of install the Trial version of X4, you must don't have problems, since the trial version include both service pack. Check what is your default printer, sometimes the program check the printer on start and if not found a printer can't open

fI have a similar problem. I get the launch program and prepare to format. I have haveto use the program disk to start the program. However I can open a saved document in coreldraw. From there i can close the document and start a new project.  All other parts work fine.
