Hi everyone. I'm having  trouble with the spreadsheet in the Object Data Manager.

What I'm trying to do is bring in a Excel Spreadsheet file into Corel Draw's Object Data Manager and creat a mailing list that would allow info to change when we print many copies of our document.  i heard Corel Draw can do this but i'm having a lot of trouble figuring out how.

1. I don't see anyway of having the Object Data Manager's spread sheet actually open up the Excel file or copy the information from it.  This is a problem because the Excel spreadsheet I have is very big and would take to long to manually bring in all the fields.

2. I really don't know what the steps are to have the spread sheet's info change when printing (but at the moment I'm not really up to this step).

If anyone has any info or knows anything on how I would figure this out I would greatly appreciate it. I'm on a bit of a deadline and starting to sweat.

If you want to use an Excel Spreadsheet you must use the Table tool, not the Object Data Manager

But, if you want to create a mailing list, for print each with different name or adress, what you need is called "Print Merge" under the File menu

Thanks Ariel for the reply.  Yea I did touch on Print Merge and thought it also could help me out but wasn't exactly sure.

Now i'm in the Print Merge Wizard and I'm kind of at the same point with my Excel document.  Again I'm seeing a Spread Sheet tool but I'm still not seeing anyway of getting my Excel text into the fields easily. Do you know if there is a way.

Hi watch this video, Jeff specifically made it for you.

Peace I-)

Hey thanks Aleem, that Flash Tutorial did the trick, it was easier then I thought it would be. Let Jeff know I'm very thankful for it. Thanks again Aleem and Ariel for the fast help.
