Suggestions: If you want a visible layer to be in the final output, open the Object Manager docker, and make sure that the "Enable or Disable Printing and Exporting" icon beside the layer name is enabled.
How do you do this
With the Object Docker enabled you will see three icons nest to the Layer. The first toggels view. The second Print and Export, The thrid Lock/Unlock. Click on the Icon desired to toggle ON/OFF.

Just to add, you need to turn off the printer icon if you do not want to print OR export that layer.

Hi Jack,
If you're curious, here's a screenshot guide that will chop those types of shots down to 1/10th the file size (not kidding), and always have them present crystal clear. You must have up-sampled yours at some point, since it was 2000 pixels wide. We know the forum "squeezes" that back down that into a limited area. Cheers, J

Never up-sampled, that I am aware of. I did the sceen shot from Darw. Open in PhotoPaint and cropped it. Saved as a cpt. Opened in Draw to add the text and exported as a PNG. I have the PDF of you reccomended method but I was in a hurry this AM and did not pay attention to the file size when I posted it. I will be more careful.
Thanks for the Hints.

Cool, I know where it was made large: when you exported from Draw. the DPI in export dialog was surely larger than the DPI of the image on draw's page.
FWIW, while working with text and arrows etc is easier in Draw, for simple annotations I use PP and export direct from there to GIF (cuts out lots of steps)
Thanks again Jeff. I will try and remember that. Brain is getting kind of full, or oldtimers disease is catching up with me faster that I want to admit.
