I'm having a problem with Paint Shop Pro x2. I downloaded the 30 day trial version and everytime I try to open it up it says "This copy of Paint Shop Pro has expired, and will now terminate." I have no idea what this means and I've tried many of times to uninstall and reinstall. I've tried to download it using different email addresses and using different sites to download it from. I've also tried downloading Paint Shop Pro x1, but it does the same thing. Please help!

Hi SP87

It seems that your trial period is expired. You are supposed to buy a legal copy if you are satisfied with the SW in 30 days of use. If not then you are supposed to uninstall the SW.

Trying to download with different mail ids or re-uninstalling won't work. So go and buy a legal copy if you want to continue using,

I just bought the legal copy of Paint Shop Pro X2. I put it into the CD drive but nothing came up. In the user guide it says that if it doesn't start automatically that I should go to Start > Run > Type in D:/Setup but it said that Windows cannot find it. I tried going to 'My Computer' and tried looking through all the folders. I found one that said 'CD-RW Drive (E:)' but there's nothing in it. I looked in other folders and I found two that said 'setup' but in one there was nothing and in the other that said 'setup8a' and I clicked run but nothing happened. I've searched in every folder for the setup but I can't find it anywhere. I have all the system requirements for installing it and I've tried everything.

Please Help.

Similar problems have been reported as a problem on certain VISTA systems--There apparently is a major bug in VISTA (now who would have thought that ;-)    ) that sees certain application program CD and DVDs as blank.

I tried to find this in the Microsoft data base, but since MS are now searching it with BING! it is hopeless to try and find anything in it.

I too had this problem and it turned out to be a conflict with my Brother Printer software.

We used Registry Easy, or it might have been RegCure, to cure the problem, installing from DVD now works just fine.

(I don't have Vista, I have WinXP Pro)

There is a whole set of things you can try if your Vista machine won't read cds or DVDs. One of the problems could be Nero (the CD burner program) installed badly, and you must remove high and low filters then reinstall Nero. There can also be problems with Autoplay, autostart. If you're still having problems with this, let me know. I had the problem crop up on my Vista machine and fixed it, so I could give you some tips on what to try.
