Hi,

Let's say, I have made a square with the size of 200x200pix which I want to use as background on a webpage. The idea is that the image repeats itself so that it fills the background of the page.

The trick is that the user percieves this background as one image, but in fact it is the same image that seamlessly fits the other side of the image. I hope you understand this description, if not please tell me.

How can I make my square usable to act as a terrace or pattern piece?
Update: I found out that it is called: seamless textures. That's what I'm looking for in Corel.

Thanks!

Hi,

I believe what you want to do is make a 'Seamless Texture'.  I have this tool and I think it is really great!

Hmm nope, but thanks for your reply!

Yes, this is what I want: seamless textures.

Is this also possible in Corel?

Boah,

Here are both free video and PDF tutorials that show you how to use seamless textures in CorelDRAW. We don't currently have tutorials for PHOTO-PAINT, though the process is very similar to CorelDRAW.

If you really need to use Photopaint to make seamless textures here is a free plugin:

http://www.redfieldplugins.com/filterSeamlessWorkshop.htm

Here is a tutorial on using the redfield plugin:

Here is a link to a download site that has other tools and tutorials:

I personally stopped doing all this in favor of pushing a couple of buttons in the Seamless Texture Generator.

Thank you who replied!

I will check all the links and try to get it work.
