    Exporting jpeg question

    Hi,

    Hello everyone!

I design logos for websites and for offset printing. When I export as a jpg (for website proofing), I get a lot of jagged or missig pixels.
Here are my settings:  RGB color, Anti-aliasing, Apply ICC profile, Custom sizing (usually around 700 pixels), Resolution is 600 dpi.
Encoding method, I have Progressive checked and Sub Format is Optional (4:4:4).

Right now, I am exporting my design at a VERY high size and opening in Photoshop to make a jpg there. I want to eliminated this step.

Here is a sample of what I am talking about:

You can see the inner light-gray circle of the DVD has pixels missing. Also, the yellow glass bubble at the top where the white meets the yellow.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Mary, I have not been able to duplicate your problem. I tried exporting a similar design, using similar colors (not sure what colors your using), with the same export options, and the one I created came out fine. Are you applying any compression or smoothing at all? If so, I'd ditch it! Sorry I don't have an answer for you at the moment. Perhaps another member has come across the same problem and can help.

Thank you sector for trying. I really appreciate it.

I have tried 3 different color methods when creating the image.... CMYK, RGB and Web Safe colors.

Thank you again and maybe someone else can look to see if they can solve my problem.

What happens if you export as a Tiff file?

If that comes through ok, use PhotoPaint to open your Tiff file and then save as a JPG? Do you get the same result?
