I am moving all of my applications to a new Windows 7 PC.  On my existing Windows XP machine I have Corel Gallery 3 and Corel Draw Essentials 2: these do exactly what I need and I have no requirement to upgrade for increased functionality.

I deliberately chose to have Windows 7 Professional 64-bit installed and using the Windows XP Virtual Machine I have successfully reinstalled Corel Gallery 3 from the original CDs.

Now comes the quesion: I have Corel Draw Essentials 2 on my old machine but I cannot find any installation media.  Should I be able to find it on the Gallery CDs?

I do not want to have to purchase an expensive full graphics suite when all I want to do is to tweak the occasional Gallery clipart to remove a feature of change some colours.

I assume that I cannot just copy the Program Files folder from the old machine to the new: there must be an install somewhere.

Most grateful for any clues.

Why can't you copy files from one to the other?  For the transfer of folders from one machine to another -- or in the case where a new hard drive is installed on a existing machine -- you should be able to dl to an external unit and upload again.  The only thing needed would be to install the program itself and all the folders should then be useable once more.

Let not the one who says it can't be done interrupt the one who is doing it.

Thanks for the suggestion but I have:

(a) copied the Program Files folder and

(b) copied the Registry entries and amended them to point to the correct locations.

CorelDraw then starts OK but as soon as I open a file I get an error that the "Program has become unstable" and it closes.

My problem is I cannot locate my original install set and it looks very expensive to purchase a complete suite just to edit a few CCX files.
