Hello Forum
I need help by changing the workflow of the fileconverter into a customized fileconverter:
I need several steps an my question is: Is this possible to handle this by customized fileconverter:
1) Open a file an put it as seize of the 100%
2) than convert it to an .eps file,
3) save this eps file in a folder
4) open this folder and convert this eps file in a png file with max seize 200 x 200 pxl and save it in a certain folder.
is this worklfow posible. Does anybody can help my by doing this customized fileconverter?
Thanks in advanced.

I don't understand why do you want to convert to EPS, before to convert to PNG. If yo do it, Corel must export the CDR file as EPS, import the EPS again as CDR and export again as PNG. What you need is only to use the FileConverter twice, on for save a file as EPS and then, export as PNG. Of course, if you need to do it with each file you can modify the macro for auto.generate bothe files, but already you can do it with an entire folder, select it and save as EPS on the same or different folder, then save as PNG on the same or different folder, only using the fileconverter macro, Is just two steps, instead one, but is very easy and fast

Hallo Ariel.
Thank you for your Info. I need the eps for printing documents with this file. With eps files i got the best quality of png files. How do I automat the changing fileseize to 100 %? It would be no problem for me to do this workflow in different steps manualy.
Hello Ariel. Hope you didn´t get this twice. There went something wrong during the send procedure.
I need eps for printings. The major Problem is to automate the workflow "put the picture into 100 % seize". For that I need a macro. After this step I can do it with the fileconverter. It is "nice to have" to generate the filezeize in in one workflow with the step 2 ( convert into eps and save it in a folder) but it is not neccesary.
Thanks in advanced

Hello Jeff
Thank you for your help. Yes I need to open a file, this files are different logos with different reduced seizes. for example 12.5 %. Do get a good quality it must be upseized to 100 %. Than convert this picture in an eps file and save this file under the same name.eps in the a folder. After this procedure Convert the eps file in a png file with the file converter. You would give me a huge favour if you can help me with that. How can I send you a desciption of this workflow as pdf?
Hi.
Yes. Exactly. If eps files are to small, then when directly converted to other formats using other batch converters besides coreldraw, such as jpg, png, etc then the result will have poor resolution. I like to have the file set at atleast 6-8 inches on the screen for nice, but not too large, generated eps files.
Then you can use any batch converter to create clean png files from the eps files, quickly.
There is a section in the file converter where a chunk of code can be added to resize your art before exporting.

Hello Thanks for the tipps.
Where I can get this code and where I have to add it?
Thanks for your help in advanced.
Dirkster:to get a good quality it must be upseized to 100 %.
This is odd.. if the logos are vector the size in Draw won't matter. You can export to any size PNG for great quality. OK, perfect quality. ;-)
Dirkster:You would give me a huge favour if you can help me with that. How can I send you a description of this workflow as pdf?
Upload it to forum here. My hands are full with other things. Maybe John will do it, that's up to him.
In any case, he may offer you a quote for his time as computer programmer to help you with your production requirements.
The logos are mixed (bmp or vector). Please send me a quote. Here is the workflow. Thank you

Hi,
I need to know if you have multiple pages for each document or just 1 graphic on 1 page per doc.
Thanks,
John
Hello
I´ have tested several settings. There is no generally accepted conversion for all this files I have.
When I resize the bitmaps to 100% and transfer them manually the outcome is aceptable.
When I adopt this for the vectorpictures the outcome is bad. When I modify this workflow to enlarge vectorized pictures up to 400 % and convert them to png without changing the seize then the outcome is acceptable. But when I transfer this files from the 400% png to 100% png the outcome is bad again.
I´ have tested this workflow wiht Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, but there is no better outcome.
Does anybody now a workflow how can I create this neccesary png files? Meanwhile I don´t almost matter how much in costs.
Kind regards
Here's a modified version of the file converter.
I also added the option to save your files as any version cdr file. This may come in handy for anyone upgrading or downgrading.
You can now set the width of the exported file in the new textfield. Example: For 100% width on letterhead set it to 8.5...easy.
Great for batch resizing CorelDRAW files
This will result in larger eps file but very clear images. You will then be able to use any batch file converter, besides DRAW, to convert your eps to png.
I think this is where you where going with this.
If it works for you, you can buy me a beer if you want.
Hi John. Please tell me you Adress of your favorite bar. To add the function of the CorelVersion is a very good idear.
Thanks alot
Hi Forum and Hi John
The converter works really good. Thanks again. Do you think that is possible to automate this 3 steps?
For example: look in a folder -> convert new cdr-files into tif with the seize 8.5 inch -> save them in a folder (xy) -> convert new tif-files into gif and save them in a folder xx as well.
If you have an idea that it might be work please tell me if you could do this (for money, beer etc.) or if to whom I should go with this idea.
Thanks alot in advanced for every idea.
