I'm running CorelDraw 9 on Windows XP Professional and I cannot get my .cdr files to open anymore. Don't know what happened, but suddenly I can't get them to open. The program opens fine, but when I open the file, the program freezes at 5% of file open. It freezes at 85% when I try to open a new graphic. I've deleted all of my temp files and renamed the Corel folder in my AppData folder. Nothing's worked. Any ideas?
Have you tried to repair the installation of the Corel Graphics Suite? Use the CDRom and do the installation/repair, then see if Draw opens an existing document.

Yes, forgot to mention that I tried that too.
What (MS Windows) updates were installed on your WinXP, right before this happened? It may be an update from Microsoft, that is effecting the operation of Corel Graphics Suite, Ver. 9. (That is quite old, you may want to consider an upgrade to the current offering, which is tested to run on Win XP.)
Good call. That may be it. You're right about the upgrade. I think that's my best bet. Thanks for the ideas though. Much appreciated.
Did you ever resolve this issue with Corel 9? I'm facing the exact same issue and love the stability (until now) of 9 and want to keep it.
