Jack Ross:
Are you using the Envelope Docker or the Tool Box Envelope?

tool box and property bar only

Jack Ross:
Can ;you offer any suggestions?

I had same problem with your file

Try flipping shapes over from top to bottom and try it.. ;-) works here that way.

Hi! Got back from the grave. Since i have to finish the layout the other day, i made my tweaks and made a "decent" filmstrip.

I have several objects: The black film, the window film, and the small squares on the side.

I used the envelope tool. I had a hard time tweaking it to have the same wave as the black strip.

see it in my next post... uhhh... how can i attach a .cdr file?Embarrassed

Thanks for the efforts, Jeff and Oscar. I'll practice on Jeff's technique.

The reason you can't send a CDR file is because Maybe you have chosen the Quick Reply (bottom right) instead of the Reply (top right) of post.

UHMM, yes but not sure about the 2 pieces, 1 continuous film clip looks more natural unless when you join them looks convincing.

What I did is set the nodes to smooth curves and adjusted the handles.

You will have better control by placing extra nodes up and down before moving them. It has to be even otherwise you will get weird deformations.

Good luck in your project.
