Hi all. Just wondering if there is a more efficient way of doing this. I have to print 10,000 individual numbers (1-9999), each one in it's own little box, and then cut them on my Roland printer/cutter. Right now, I have typed the first 1000, copied and pasted that, and then just went down the list, highlighting the first number then typing over that ( highlight 2, highlight 2 etc etc....) I tried using Microsoft Excel's tools, but I can't seem to get the finished Excel file into CoreDraw X3 properly. Any suggestions??

Thanks,

Mark

I beleive that Jeff has a macro that could help you out. Scan the offering on www.macromonster.com for a numbering macro.

hi neighbor, you were right to ask if there's a better way :-)

It's possible to do it with print merging, but here's another way with this commercial package

It's depends how you want the labels laid out. For these things, even though printed large format, eventually you need to give to customer in a sheet size they can handle. So in this example, I have a letter-sized sheet that is tiled later in RIP. Sometimes I tile "sections" manually in Draw too.

Other consideration: how the labels will be cut by the machine, one by one, or with single lines crossing the sheet back and forth.
