Difficulty Identifying CorelDRAW X3 Suite Documents

I'm having difficulty in identifying my CorelDRAW X3 Suite documents as the icons are 'blank' icons.

I'd like to be able to either;

  1. Display the application document icon (ie green pencil or blue camera etc).
  2. Preview of the documents' content.

To achieve (2) above I have ensured that 'Utilities/Thumbnail Display' is included during installation and it works.....until I re-boot, then I'm back to 'blank' icons.

Any ideas what is turning the thumbnails off and how to achieve (1), as CorelDraw and Photo-Paint are not offered as 'Default Applications' in my Windows 7.
