Dear All,
I was having some SB hassles particularly some files having the 'O's and 'A' s (any closed text) getting filled in after conversion to curves and output to SB.
The Man says that it is a problem with imported AI vector files on the page and when rasterised caused the problem to disappear.
He suggests making a .PRN file using his AGFA printer settings and sending this file to him in future. How will this translate in terms of quality of the film?.

I did this for years but you must really have your stuff together.
The problem is that some how the curves are getting broken apart. Make sure you're using PS level 3 and watch the layers.

Why and how do you convert text to curves? If you will send a PDF, just Publish to PDF using PSD X/1 or X/3, and choose convert to cuves if you want.

Well I normally use the 'select all-text' option and hit Ctrl Q. For text within a group I Ctrl select and hit Ctrl Q.
