I have a document in cdr which I would like to remake to a pdf "screen preview" in a more "shareable size".

What is the easiest way to resize the document and save size?

Bitmaps are most likely the culprit. A document with embedded bitmaps will produce a larger size that a document with vector alternative.

I would suggest that you try to make teh document mostly vector. Redraw bitmaps such as logos and charts.

In the publish to pdf settings there is the option to compress bitmaps. Try using different settings until you are comfortable with the file size and quality.
