Where's the file?

the file is in photoshop file, also have as jpeg

DJ, a jpg or a Photoshop file probably isn't going to do you much good...............except for a guide.

Several ways to do this in Corel. I guess the most common way is to use a Blend on a vector path.

Don't forget to make VERY, VERY sure that the stone circumference is set properly before you begin.........allowing for blade width if you're planning on cutting this template on your cutter.

DJ,  a picture, a jpg, isn't going to work.

You need to make yourself a vector path for the template.

After you draw the path, you then need to place the stones (circles) along that path. As I mentioned, most folks who don't have a dedicated rhinestone program, generally use Corel's Blend option to fit the circles along the path. The critical issue is making sure you start with the correct size. If you set up a template and the circumferance of your circles aren't correct, your template will be useless.

Is this person that you're sending this template to going to use it as a guide? Or are they actually going to cut from it?

If you upload the picture you have, maybe I'll be able to give you step by step directions or record the screen so you can see how it's done.

I've seen a few tutorials posted on this subject, maybe at Fosters, maybe on YouTube, I don't really remember.

Why don't you just show us the picture..............it's probably worth 1,000 words. Let us see exactly what you're trying to recreate.

Someone here will be able to help, I'm sure.

Considerations:

  1. the artwork size
  2. the rhinestone size
  3. the complexity of the art

I made a quick sample using some macros to speed up the process. I used 3mm stones for this simulation.

As you can see, the artwork may not reveal the detail you desire, but this depends on  # 1 and 2 above.

thats exactly it, how did you get to that step

yes, i know how to first choose the right size of pic

then make a circle and make right size

from there im stuck

. thanks for the help,

The macro assists greatly to place rhinestones, but you can place manually too, just takes more time. Even with the macro, sometimes you need to move some stones that may be colliding. No matter what: you'll need to resort to your eyes and judgment.

Sorry, out of time for moment but you can watch these vids I made years ago to learn about blending shapes along a path, like Diane suggested.

Can you tell me the name of the script font you used? I really like it.
thanks,
joan
