I just started using X-5 but I have been using CorelDraw 12 for years.

I have 500 images that I created in version 12 that I use for a web site and they all work fine.

My question is I have created a few images using X-5 and for some reason they will not open on the web site and all I get is the small red X instead.

I have rechecked everything but can't seem to figure out why the images won't open.

Can I  open CorelDraw 12 and create a  New File and import the image from X-5?

The work-a-round I would use, if I was in a hurry to try and get the images up,  would be to save as version 12 out of X5 the files in question...

and try 'em. Then you could go about trying to find out what's happening for you in X5 directly.

Jim,

It would help if you could describe them a little more than "images". What format? What color model? What size (pixels)?

I suppose that you export as RGB on CorelDRAW and export as CMYK on CorelDRAW X5...You don't need to export again, open with PhotoPaint and change color mode

Ariel is probably right.
In X5, CMYK is always the default color model when exporting as JPG, at least if you work with in CMYK primary color mode in Draw.
This is, IMO, wrong but it seems to be impossible to make RGB the default mode. It should be our decision to make, not Draw's (just like embedding color profile or not).
