Hi there, I saved a file an hour ago and then I closed the file as I had to do something else, I'm trying to open the same file that I worked on but it is giving me this error message and I've tried Retry and Ignore and nothing opens up. Corel just shuts down.
I'm working on X5
Please can someone explain why this happens and how can I stop it from happening or how can this be fixed. As now I have to redo my whole project again.
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6Even better, faster...
I tried importing the file in a blank doc and that didn't work, then I don't have Winzip on my computer so i cannot do the other option, is there another way of trying?
Normally the special characters are not allowed in a file name. If you have any, that should be removed. You can try renaming the file from Windows explorer and then opening it or importing it back in DRAW. BTW if you have WinXP or later, you can still view the contents of most of the ZIP file.

thanks but still no luck, its okay I decided to start over because I could not get it right, but when I get Winzip I will try it and see if it works thanks for trying to help...
shawnee:I don't have Winzip
That should not be a problem as long as you have XP or newer. Rename the CDR to zip and double click on it. It will open as a "compressed folder".
From there, drag the internal CDR file to another folder or the desktop which will give you an unzipped copy of the internal CDR file to try on its own.
okay maybe I'm being silly but does it take long to reopen? as my file has be trying to open for the past 30mins now
No, it should not take significantly longer than "normally" opening the file. If it does then it is probably irretrievably broken.
Hello shawnee; If you post the file we can take a wack at it for you.
Hi I cannot upload the artwork file its 386KB
This is sanjeev here he can rename the file name he meet be see his file name @@@CDRW.TMP he should rename his file name to @@@CDRW.CDR
