When I go to the "Object"  dropdown the "Feathering" option is greyed out.  At this point all I have done is imported a jpg photo. It's actually a scanned drawing and I wish to feather the edges to white all around the image.  This should be a no-brainer.  I used to do this easily with another program but I can't remember which program I used and when I recently upgraded my PC, I must have lost this particular software.  I am always surprised this isn't an option on virtually EVERY image editing program as it is used frequently.

Thanks for any help.

Hi.

DWC:
When I go to the "Object"  dropdown the "Feathering" option is greyed out.

Select the imaje in the objects docker and try again.

Others options:

Select the Rectangle Mask Tool and look at property bar the Feather option.

If not. You can do it with the Object Transparency tool.

The more I know, the more I believe in God.

Hi Dennis,

you have to make an "object" out of "background" first - go to Object / Create / From background , then you'll get feathering option available.
