how to redo steps

I have tried recorder to do some layers and routines, but I found recorder doesnt even make a new object like it recorded.  Anyways, I was messing around with an image.  I resized it to 1000 px width.  After I finished, the layers and everything look pretty sweet.  I don't remember the steps I did to accomplish the final results.  Luckily I save the image as a .cpt file.  I am with great hopes the cpt file will show me what was done so I can do it to the original sized image.

 

Can I make a macro to repeat the steps?  Can I swap the image/objects and repeat the steps?
