Hi,

I'm trying to install a trial version of Graphic Suite X6 (64-bit) but shows as (empty) in the CorelDRAW Graphic Suite X6 (64-bit) menu in Windows 7 Start menu.

The installation seems to go well, till it reaches around 70+% and then it jumps to Installation Successful.

Please help as I'm deciding whether to upgrade to X6. So far, I'm getting nowhere. Thanks.

Navigate to the below and double click the launch from there, see what happens

"c:\Program Files\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6\Programs64\"

Hello andyng; I Think it is best to turn off the fire wall before installing a program.

HI.

Sounds like this could be it, maybe turn off anti-virus too. Maybe the security is preventing from Copying to certain folders. Also make sure you are logged in as the Administrator.

Thanks bob. Tried that but the application didn't run.

Thanks. WIll try turning off firewall and anti-virus.

No joy. Still the same results. Anyone have any other ideas?

Turn off the firewall and the Anti-virus, then with (Windows) administrator rights, put the DVD into the drive and when the menu comes up, do a Repair. This should put the missing files onto your system to enable DRAW and PP to run.

He is trying to do the trial thing. Might try turning the anti virus and the fire wall off and down load the program again. If you use Corel much at all I'm pretty sure you'll want to buy it.

My Thoughts George

Disabled both anti-virus and firewall - still the same. Applications not on Win 7 Start menu and can't load apps directly.

andyng something just doesn't seem right. List the computer set-up and the Op. sys. and settings you are using, maybe someone will come up with something.

Long shot but sometimes the "Corel windows shell extension" can mess with installs if left behind.  So if you try once, fail then maybe the shell was left behind from the first install.

When you uninstalled it did you manually delete all files left behind including cleaning the reg?

Yeah. Uninstalled the windows shell extension as well as cleaned the reg as best I think I did. Working with Corel now to try to solve it. Still trying :(

Still no joy installing X6 ... anyone has any suggestions?
