I've had no problem using Ctrl+C in CDR-X6 for copying text until I installed a couple of other programs, now Ctrl+C no longer works. I presume it's been hijacked by the other software but could somebody tell me how to get it back. Thanks.

Hello? Just wondering what the next step is?

There doesn't seem to be a "formal" register of CorelDraw bugs. At least, not one that is publicly accessible.

I think we just have to hope that somebody from Corel picks it up from this thread and sorts it out in a service pack. But that may be a while coming unless somebody from Corel spotted it internally before we did, because SP1 is already being prepared.

I did manage to make my testing macro work round the bug (by making an internal duplicate of the selected phrase before trying to paste it back in) but the macro language imposes some limitations. Either it can work quickly as a phrase but only in plain text (ie, it loses any bold or italic formatting within the pasted text), or it has to do it by copying the bold and italic attributes one character at a time, which is very very slow.

Please send all your findings to a Corel employee.
If you click on the name, there's an option to "Send an Email" in the user profile.

I've never set up a macro. Is this easy to do?

Surely Corel developers look at this forum to see what real users are experiencing?

Is there a list of employees somewhere?

You'll find them here and there in the threads. No list as far as I know. Look for Hendrik, Tony Severenuk or Sharon for example.
Yes, they read these forums when they get a chance and time permits.

Edit: Actually, there is a list. Click the "Corel Employee" logo under the photo of any of them, when you manage to find one.
Best though to try and contact the ones that are active here.

I sent a note to Claude as he seemed to get involved with some other problems involving text.

Ok, thanks to you both.

It's unfortunate that there's no simple workaround to this as it's really bugging not to be able to do a simple copy.

Hopefull, it's in the service pack. Shame there's no way to know.

Hm Shelley, not being able to copy correctly, and not being able to Ctrl+Alt+drag separators (and icons?) in the other thread, makes me suspect there's something wrong in your system.
