Tutorials for CD12

 What tutorials are available for CorelDraw Graphis Suite 12. I am presently working with Lynda.com and the Mark Swift tutorial but it does not include much on PhotoPaint. 

I saw "Mastering CorelDraw" on Amazon but the description seemed rather vague and didn't impress me.

 What would the members of this forum recommend?

My applications for this program are mildly commercial, using it mostly for personal work.

ClickNLearn (Australia - http://www.clicknlearn.com/) produced some fantastic training material for earlier versions of DRAW and Photo-Paint - Screen capture videos that are just like having a teacher in the room with you, and you can go over stuff as many times as you want without paying for another course! I'm one of those people who found learning from books difficult, so the series of CDs from ClickNLearn made a huge difference to me.

Although these, as I say, were developed for earlier versions, I still find them extremely useful and relevant. Ok, I'm now using X3 (well, actually trying out the trial version of X4), so things have moved on and menus have changed a little, but I would still thoroughly recommend this stuff.

I know ClickNLearn are working on stuff for the newer versions, but you might want to keep an eye on ebay for ClickNLearn products - the "Photo-Paint" series and the CorelDRAW "Insight Series" in particular.

Of course, any particular problems - post questions on the forum and you'll usually get answers!

 Thanks Phil. I checked out the website for ClickNLearn. I was just wondering how much the tutorial will give one of the entire Graphic Suite 12. I need something that will cover all, including Photo Paint, CorelTrace, RAVE and Capture. I have written to their support group about that and am waiting to hear from them.

Barbie, I doubt if you'll find many new tutorials specifically for
version 12, and for RAVE in particular. CorelDRAW is now in version X4
(14) and version 12 was the last version ever of RAVE.

You also won't find one single tutorial for everything you're looking
for. Each one of those programs is way too large and complex to cover
all of them at once.

LVSOnline has a self study course in CorelDRAW 12 which covers most of
the basics of that program.

It does brush on TRACE as well, but doesn't go into depth about it.

They also have a self study course in PhotoPaint X3 which is probably
pretty close to PhotoPaint 12 since I don't think PhotoPaint got a lot
of updating in that version.

Those courses each have six rather jam packed lessons and go for $11.25
US each. I wrote the CorelDRAW course, and Lori Davis wrote the
Photo-Paint Basics course.

As far as CorelCapture goes, I don't know that there's a lot to say
about it that isn't said just as well in the help files. If you've got
questions on that one, please ask.
