The menu selection for 'what the font' is grayed out. How do I select it?
Hrm....not grayed out, here. Do you have an active internet connection?
If that does not help, then try resetting back to factory defaults by pressing F8 during Draw startup and answering "Yes" to resetting to factory defaults.

CorelDRAW and Corel PHOTO-PAINT will check for an Internet connection at startup. If they detect one, then the menu entry is available. If you don't have an Internet connection, then the menu entry will be grayed out, as you won't have access to the online WhatTheFont! service?

I'm having same problem.... is it necessary to scan the specific requirment about the font? or the jpeg file will do? if so then will it be in RGB or CMYK of grayscale format? also scan the specific requirment for font, what format should we scan the image? (RGB or CMYK of grayscale ) also scan in corel or in photoshop?
any idea?
I found the problem of the menu option grayed out. What I first loaded Corel X4 I told it NOT to load Capture. I went back and modified the installation to include CAPTURE and the menu option appeared. However, now when I select the text it tells me I don't have an internet connection; which is not true because Explorer works just fine and I can manually go to the WHAT THE FONT web site. Any ideas on this issue?
Sounds like a firewall is blocking it's connection...does your firewall report when something is trying to ping the internet?
