OK here it is, initially I made this macro to smoothen skin, but I have been using it pretty much as an fix it all to even out any blemishes or color blotches on any image.

Let me know how you like it. NewSkin Macro

Quick instructions:
Open a image and duplicate the background (ctrl D).
Run Macro, at this point you will not see any change in the image.
You should see two new objects, the blur object with it's clipmask and the sharpening object.
The clipmask should be selected by default after you run the macro.
Select a very soft brush tool and paint with white color all areas you like to be smoothened, use black if you like to reverse the procedure.
Use the opacity slider in the sharpening object to lower the amount of detail.
Use the opacity slider in the blur object to raise detail from the original object.
Just play around with it and let me know what you think?

Let me know how it works for you? I also like to mention that this macro works best on full size images (6MP), if the image is to small the sharpening will be to much.

Thanks Jeff! My goal is to have a little dialog box where one could adjust the settings, but I'm not that versed in VBA anymore and it will take me time to do.

Hi Alfred,

I wouldn't worry about it. Whoever uses this will hopefully know what
they need to do to set up an appropriate nib & it's size for good results.

The reality is that if they know how to even launch a VBA macro, they
are likely in the top 30% skill level for PP anyway.
