How are you searching for the Pantone colors? All you have to do is Shift-click on a color swatch and type the number there, it  will take you to the color that you are looking for.

Evidently a less efficient way. Using the Fill dialogue, then selecting Palette. In Corel 12 it had the spot to type but as I recall not in X4.

I have since replaced the hard drive so I guess I could try X4 again. Maybe the Rulers work in both directions in X4 but not Corel 12.

I see if I open a spot color palette in 12 I can use the method you stated.

The attached image is a screen capture of the Uniform Fill Dialog Box, the part highlited in yellow is the box where you type the Pantone number.

Thats how it is in 12. Now I'm wondering if it was fill or outline or simply that my installation was corrupt. Perhaps time to  try again.

I have just got a Iiyama widescreen monitor, and have followed all the instructions above for calibrating my rulers, but it isn't working at all!

When I go into 'calibrate rulers' it's all perfect, and I've got it set at 1:1 as advised, but when I'm actually looking at a document, the horizontal rule is fine, but the vertical rule is still off.

Can anyone help?
