Change Text Corel Photo Paint 11

     Hi,

firstly, i sorry for my bad english!

I have installed CorelDraw Graphics Suite 11. I have export an psd file white text in file. I want ti change this text, but i can't! i don't know why!

The menu Over Object/Text/Text formating (Translate from German!) is hide, i can't click on it, why?

My quistions: What i make false? Why can't i change the text? Is change Text difficult in Photo Paint? What must I do to change text?

I hope, i became an answer!

    Regards

    Ötzi

it sounds like the text is no longer "text."

When you saved it as a PSD file, did you have it render text as an object?
Did you flatten the file? If you did either, then there is no text to edit
anymore and you'd have to recreate it.

Thank you hunter for your quick response.

I see, i have wrote export, that is false! I Import a PSD file with text. In PSD file it is an Text object. Gives problems by import Text in PSD files in PhotoPaint? When it's so, in understand it!

Then i cant import this file and must make all again, right?

What version is the PSD file? CS3? 7? Are you sure that the person who made
the PSD file did not render the text as an object so you could not edit it?

I just did a test with PS CS3 and exported a simple file with text in two
ways: one with "maximize compatibility" on and one without. I don't have v11
on this machine, but do have 12, X3, and X4.

X3 and X4 both imported the files and the text items were still text that I
could edit and change fonts, etc. A quibble is that while the text showed
the correct font, but as soon as I clicked to edit it, it changed to Arial -
and that was odd because this was all done on the same machine.

v12 imported both files, however it did not know how to see the text item as
text. It was just an object that I could move around. I can only presume
that v11 is the same way. Looks like you'll have to save those PSD files
with an older version of PS ... or upgrade to either X3 or X4 to work with
those items and still keep them as text.

     Hi Hunter,

    thank you for your tests.

I think also, import in v11 has this problem.  I had exactly the same what you wrote. I can scale and move, but not change. I think, i make an update next time.

    Thank you for your trouble

Ja, v11 would have the same import issue as v12 when it comes to the newer
versions of PS and importing a Text Object and keeping it as Text. Schade.
