Hello.

I'm using Corel PHOTO-PAINT X3, but there is a bug which has made this excellent program pretty much useless. The Paint Tool and Effect Tool stopped working, and all Brush types in the drop-down menu have disappeared except for Custom Art Brush or Custom Calligraphic Pen etc. and they do not work at all.

Please help.

If it have worked before, then do this:

1. Close down Photo-Paint.
2. Hold down, and keep holding down, the F8 key on the keyboard
3. While continuing holding down F8, START Photo-Paint.
4. After a few seconds a pop-up dialog will ask you to choose yes or no, choosing Factory Default
   
5. When asked about Factory Default mode, choose YES (or OK)

This will make Photo-Paint to be as it was when originally installed, so this will probably fix it.
