Cool Update!!!
So... My upgrade on the kid's laptop didn't go so well. They have the "Academic Version" loaded. First thing I get when I try and start X4 is this:
Then when I "OK" that I get this:
So then I "OK" that for the following:
So then I get the following for firing off a debug log - which I did send.
Any ideas?

Just got the same error, and I'm not running an educational version...
I'll try restarting my system, see if that helps.
"The restart! It does nothing!"
I restored my system to yesterday. We'll see if the bug is resolved before updating.
If you do a repair on the CGS X4 Suite from the Control Panel does it resolve the issue for you?
Tried a repair, yes. Same error.
Thank God for System Restore.
I've attached a Belarc profile of my system. Maybe that will help to solv the problem.

Corel ROCKS !
Sorry about that. Belarc generates the report as an HTML page, but those aren't allowed to be attached...
I get the same error message. I have a full version. Repair and restart did not fix it. Good thing I didn't uninstall X3!

I am getting the same error. I also don't have the academic version but upgrade from x3. Thanks for any help on how to resolve this.
Sylvia
sadly will be doing a restore, I need to play today :(
Not sure if this helps but I installed avg free 8.0 yesterday it installed c+++ one of the errors I saw while trying to get draw to load was c+++. Maybe it was a coincidence? The restore (no restore point for sp1) didn't work nor did the repair. I ended up removing, rebooting and installing again.
Hello folks,
I joined the club - same error here. I'm running a full version on Windows XP Home, SP2.
Would it be possible for one of the Corel guys, Tony, Gerard, or so, to come with some suggestions how to cure this?
Kind regards, JoostJ

As a follow up, the appboxid.xml program is available in the C:\Program Files\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4\Programs, but it fails to load - I don't know why.
