This is a reply to Tony's thread on the issued not fixed in SP1

There is a mention about the enhancements in Printing section in SP1. It says ....

___________________________________________________________________________________

Printing

  • Print separations in Corel PHOTO-PAINT no longer produces unnecessary empty plates.
  • Print Merge has been enhanced to recognize RTF & CSV files saved from within the Wizard.
  • Print Preview is no longer missing any printing boundaries areas of the current driver.

1. Print merge fields placed in X3 file are carried in X4. See the screenshots.

 2. Applying boldening or any other attributes with Text cursor (selected Text greyed) still does't work. One has to select the text object with the pick tool.

I am unable to understand what's the use of mentioning about the enhancements in recognizing RTF & CSV files in print merge if the basic purpose is not served.

Edit 1 :

 Ohh! I was wrong.

Till I tried placing the merge fields missing in X4. All fields were printing twice in X4. On searching, what was wrong, I found all the fields from X3 were carried in X4 file but were not displayed properly. Amazingly, this still worked fine. Except for the one I mentioned in my previous post about the boldening etc. of text fields.
